Sunrise Optimist Girls Softball offers recreational and competitive fast pitch softball for girls ages 4 to 18 from Wichita Falls and communities in the North Texas area. The league is organized into age divisions of 6U,8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U. SOGS
THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR DAUGHTER IN THE SOFTBALL PROGRAM:
BECOME involved in the program, HELP your coach, and VOLUNTEER to help in the operation, maintenance, and building of the softball program.
WORK with your daughter on your own to develop her interest in softball, enhance her skills and in her approach to life. Lessons are available for those wishing additional instruction for their daughter by emailing
PICK UP YOUR TRASH – Remember paid personnel do not pick up trash volunteers do so and we simply do not have enough.
SUPERVISE YOUR OTHER CHILDREN WHILE AT THE PARK. Time is taken every night by league supervisors to protect the safety of your children. Unsupervised children that are a safety hazard to themselves and others will be asked to leave the park.
ASK QUESTIONS – Your daughter should play an ABSOLUTE minimum of 1 inning in the field and 1 turn at bat. THE OBJECT OF THE PROGRAM IS FOR PLAYERS TO HAVE FUN AND LEARN.
